Quarter-Inch - Scale

The quarter-inch ruler shown in Figure 1 is the second level of four, available within the Measure-Matic software application.
As shown in Figure 1 the ruler is navigated to 2 1/4 inches which is documented as a fraction.
Notice, at the bottom left corner of the ruler, the decimal equivalency for each measurement is displayed, and in this case it is 2.25 inches.
The English Quarter-Inch scale is brooken down into four divisions, and each of these divisions into units of an inch.
Below is a list of fractions within the quarter-inch scale.
- 1/4
- 2/4 = 1/2
- 3/4
- 4/4 = 1
Either measurement can be documented as a fraction and/or decimal. Below is a list of fractions where each fraction has been calculated to the decimal equivalency.
- 1/4 = 0.25
- 1/2 = 0.5
- 3/4 = 0.75
- 1 = 1.0
This is great for anyone who is just starting out with learning measurement concepts to have the ability to learn measurements with both fractions and/or decimals.
