The Metric System
The metric system is an international decimalised system of measurement that is used in most industries around the world.
One goal with the Measure-Matic metric system is to have a single unit for any measurement displayed within an environment that students and educators can use to learn and teach the metric system.
Measure-Matic's metric system is based on three metric rulers at different levels of complexity. The rulers will start a student off with the four basic metric units:
- millimeter
- centimeter
- decimeter
- meter
As shown in Figure 1 the Metric Ruler - Level 1 which is the starting point for most students, and will provide a nice program for anyone to understand one of the core units within the metric system (centimeter).
